Traveling usually requires some amount of vaccines. Some countries require specific vaccinations if you come from a country that they perceive as having a medical threat. Other vaccines are just recommended to protect from a medical threat within their country. But the potentially confusing recommendation is the “routine vaccinations.” If you grew up before there were vaccines for Mumps, Chicken Pox, Hepatitis, and Meningitis, you probably don’t have the “routine” vaccinations.
The Center for Disease Control published a new “Recommended Immunizations Schedule for Adults 19 Years or Older, United States, 2018” in February of this year.
We caught up on most of the vaccines before our trip to India. The only new ones for this trip were Typhoid and Shingles.
